Alakulás

A klub alapítására létrejött ‘asztaltársaság’ 1998 június 27-i charter ünnepségen 25 taggal alapította meg az önálló Rotary klubot Szentendrén. A klub több mint 15 éves története során számos jótékonysági akció szervezésével járult hozzá szűkebb és tágabb környezetében a nehézségekkel küzdők támogatására. Részt vett országos és nemzetközi kiterjedésű adománygyűjtő akciókban is.

A tagsági követelmények:

  • Rotary International és szentendrei klub szabályainak elfogadása

  • tagdíj követelmények teljesítése

  • részvétel a heti ülések döntő részén

  • aktív részvétel a klub programjaiban

  • klub tisztség vállalása rotációban

A szentendrei klub jelenleg 19 fős tagsága sokszínű.

Néhány példa a tagok által képviselt szakmákból:

  • kőfaragó mester

  • étterem,- szálloda tulajdonos

  • etnográfus, filológus

  • orvos, közgazdász, mérnök

Az elmúlt 16 évben több mint 30 diákot fogadtunk és küldtünk a Rotary International diákcsere program keretében.

Klubunk több mint 10 éve kölcsönös látogatásokkal is erősített kapcsolatot ápol a franciaországi Ferney Voltaire Rotary klubjával.
